Shyema Azam is the Beauty Director at BDG, where she helps lead the beauty and pharma verticals for branded content. With more than a decade of experience in beauty and wellness journalism, she is a seasoned editor, writer, and content strategist.

Shyema began her career after earning a journalism degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has held editorial roles at Allure and Marie Claire, and has contributed as a freelance editor to top publications including Vogue, Seventeen, and Cosmopolitan.

In addition to her editorial work, Shyema has worked on the brand side of the beauty industry, spearheading content and marketing efforts for companies across the globe—from Los Angeles to Dubai.

A proud Chicago native, Shyema now resides with her husband and two sons in the NY/NJ area.
