Faran Krentcil

Faran Krentcil is a writer and editor who specializes in fashion, beauty, and travel. She began writing for The Zoe Report in 2022 and has contributed to Paris runway reviews and designer interviews, street style trend analysis, celebrity red-carpet coverage, and fashion history pieces that tell the origin stories of a must-have shopping splurge. (After all, if Black Widow gets her own biopic, shouldn't the Valentino peplum dress?)

Faran is also a contributing editor at ELLE and a writer for magazines like Harper's Bazaar and InStyle, and news publications like The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo News, and the Business of Fashion. She was Nylon's first-ever digital editor in chief, and the founding editor of Fashionista.com. For five years, Faran worked with AMC's Mad Men as the show's official fashion blogger, covering the groundbreaking TV program for fans with input from its actors, writers, and design team. She was nominated for a cable news award but lost to Conan O'Brien.

A New England native, Faran now lives between New York City and Narnia. She is a member of The Here and Now Collective, which performs Shakespeare plays in working farms and forests across America. She is also an illustrator whose work has appeared in Bergdorf Goodman and Teen Vogue. She really likes doing impossible puzzles.
