In the fashion industry, September is something of a reset. No, there’s never really a dull month — but after a summer full of OOO days and some much-needed relaxation, we’re once again off to the races. Blame it on the start of fashion month and award show season, but September is always a whirlwind, and this year is proving no different. Case in point: The month’s fashion news is already taking over our social media feeds, spanning new product launches, brand collaborations, and star-studded fall campaigns.

Good news for your wardrobe (and not-so-good news for your wallet): September marks the month when fall runway collections finally hit stores. Perhaps the most talked-about release thus far is Givenchy’s cult-favorite Shark Pinch boot, which creative director Sarah Burton has reimagined in six new iterations. Speaking of accessories, Gap is all the rage right now, thanks to its new GapBag collection, designed by Reed Krakoff, the brand’s executive director of accessories. The line features five silhouettes, all inspired by Gap’s bestsellers over the years.

What else is happening in the fashion world this September? Scroll onward for this month’s need-to-know news — and, as always, keep checking back for more updates throughout the month.

Danimás Launches Ready-To-Wear

Courtney Of Danimás

On September 24, Danimás — a lifestyle label founded by businesswoman and former professional bodybuilder Dany Garcia — made its first foray into ready-to-wear with a Fall/Winter 2026 collection, months after launching with workout gear in April. The 28-piece line includes standout styles like the Everything jogger, made from breathable taffeta, as well as the Warm-Up jacket and coordinating pants, crafted from recycled Italian matte nylon.

“Women should be able to express themselves in the gym with the same freedom, confidence and glamour they bring to every other part of their lives,” Garcia said in a statement. “That was a void I experienced personally. I could find extraordinary fashion for the rest of my life, but when I walked into the gym, the choices became much narrower. Danimás was created to change that. We are bringing in luxurious materials, exceptional design and true performance into the training environment — so women never have to compromise and leave their sense of style at the door.”

Jacquemus and Nike’s co-designed Moon shoe just got a bright update, arriving in a new colorway: Emerald Rise, a multi-blue palette inspired by Miami’s vibrant scenery, from the ocean to its iconic Art Deco façades. Though the palette is evolving, the silhouette remains the same, featuring a ruched nylon upper, Nike Grind outsole, and ballet-inspired design.

Banana Republic & La Ligne Collaborate

On Sept. 9, Banana Republic and La Ligne debuted a 36-piece collection and accompanying campaign, fronted by actor Zoey Deutch. The line hones in on day-to-night dressing, with pieces like striped sweaters and suede skirts bringing La Ligne’s playful aesthetic to Banana Republic’s signature silhouettes.

“Banana Republic's archives have such a rich design vocabulary, and getting to spend time combing them was a dream for us," La Ligne’s co-founders said in a statement. “For this collaboration, we wanted to honor that heritage through a La Ligne lens — our love of stripes and timeless design, our attention to details, our insistence on quality, and our quest for joy. This collection is really a conversation between two design languages that turned out to have so much in common: a belief in pieces that are classic but never boring, built to move seamlessly through a woman's day.”

The Beekman Celebrates 10 Years In Lower Manhattan

The Beekman has plenty to celebrate this summer. For instance, the hotel is offering the Jet Set to The Beekman, a $10,000 one-night package that includes an overnight stay in the West Turret, a private terrace cocktail reception for six with selections from the hotel’s original opening menu, and an intimate dinner for six by Tom Colicchio’s culinary team — plus, a BLADE helicopter flight to Pier 6 in Lower Manhattan, where a house car will transfer you to the hotel. The anniversary festivities continue at The Bar Room and Laissez Faire, which are currently serving a signature celebratory cocktail.

“This anniversary is a chance to recognize all that has shaped The Beekman and carry that unmistakable spirit forward,” Titus Negrescu, the general manager of The Beekman, said in a press release. To further commemorate the occasion, the hotel recently hosted a chic dinner during New York Fashion Week, drawing a fashion-forward crowd.

Gap Introduces The GapBag Collection

Gap continues to win over the fashion set — this time with a genius (err, jeanius?) bag line. On Sept. 8, the retailer released its GapBag collection, designed by Gap Inc.’s Executive Director of Accessories Reed Krakoff. Krakoff — a three-time recipient of the coveted CFDA Accessories Designer of the Year award — looked to the archives for inspiration, drawing from some of Gap’s most iconic designs, including its five-pocket denim and classic Arch Logo hoodie. Priced from $30 to $148, the collection features five styles — the Five-Pocket Tote, Hoodie Tote, Favorite Tote, Shoulder Bag, and Crescent Bag — along with a selection of charms.

To commemorate the new launch, Gap is kicking off NYFW with a four-day takeover at Rockefeller Center from Sept. 10 through 13. On-site, shoppers can pick up the Five-Pocket Tote from the collection and take advantage of customization experiences, including chainstitch personalization, limited-edition charms, and accessories.

Gray lends her signature sleek, minimalist sensibility to the campaign, while Law embodies the effortless edge synonymous with New York style. The collection follows suit: A largely monochromatic palette evokes the city skyline, punctuated by bolder pieces inspired by Manhattan’s energetic downtown scene.
