Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo Save Their Best Wicked: For Good Looks For Last
A finale worth a standing ovation.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo wrapped their global Wicked: For Good press tour with their most striking red carpet looks yet. On Nov. 17, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo attended the final premiere of their forthcoming film, which officially lands in theaters on Nov. 22. After stops in Singapore, London, Paris, and São Paulo, it felt fitting that the tour’s finale took place in New York, the birthplace of the original Wicked Broadway musical. And even after serving major slays around the world, they saved their most memorable outfits for last.
Erivo chose a custom Balenciaga ball gown designed by the house’s new creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli. The Valentino alum created a dramatic all-black drop-waist silhouette paired with a cropped leather top. The look incorporated details from Piccioli’s debut Balenciaga runway collection in October, including a feather-lined hem and oversized black sunglasses. The dark, sculptural ensemble nodded to Erivo’s character, often portrayed as powerful, misunderstood, and complex. Diamond jewelry from Italian designer Roberto Coin completed the moment.
Grande leaned fully into her inner Glinda with a custom Schiaparelli couture gown. The strapless pink-and-black silhouette featured a ruched bustier, two delicate side bows, and a sweeping ball skirt, giving her an unmistakable old-Hollywood aura. It was a romantic, theatrical take on Glinda’s signature aesthetic, filtered through Daniel Roseberry’s surrealist perspective.
The brand referred to the design as “ARIANARELLI,” in a behind-the-scenes Instagram post, which showed Schiaparelli creative director Daniel Roseberry sketching the initial concept and then bringing it to life. According to the maison, the dress required 200 meters of silk organza and tulle, as well as more than 20 hand-finished ruffles to construct the intricate ball skirt.
The next day, on Nov. 18, Grande and Erivo promoted the new film separately. Grande stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in New York while Erivo flew to London to attend GQ’s Men of the Year event.
Grande came out in another show-stopping look: a beautiful black sheer gown with emerald green embroidery — a back-to-back nod to Wicked. Her stylist, Law Roach, revealed that the dress was from the 1930s, which only made it feel more full circle. The original The Wizard of Oz movie came out in 1939, after all.
Erivo kept things current with a coat from Bottega Veneta’s latest collection. The Italian label's newest creative director, Louise Trotter, was highly praised for her spring/summer 2026 interpretation, incorporating recycled fiberglass in place of animal fur. Erivo sported a gray version of what looked like an oversized fur coat at first glance, but was actually made from recycled fiberglass.
The Grammy-nominee made her way back to the States and pulled off four stunning looks in a single day on Nov. 19. Her stylist, Jason Bolden, made sure that each one would cause maximum effect.
Erivo arrived at 30 Rock in a monochromatic leather-on-leather look to film The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The outfit included a buttery leather trench paired over a turtleneck and a leather maxi skirt — simple, yet impactful. Her accessories were the real stars of the outfit, though. The actor wore towering platform PVC pumps while carrying a gunmetal-colored handbag by Mulberry (which she also carried with her outfits later on).
Erivo later changed into a black tailored skirt suit. The look was another creation by Schiaparelli’s Daniel Roseberry, ripped straight off the spring/summer 2026 Parisian runway. It featured sculptural bubbled shoulders and a dramatic matching hat. The timing was especially fitting: during her Fallon interview earlier that day, Erivo told a story about losing — and eventually recovering — another black Schiaparelli hat.
Her final two looks of the evening couldn’t have been more different, yet both suited the Wicked star perfectly. For an event on Manhattan’s Upper West Side promoting her newly released book, Simply More, she opted for an off-white pantsuit styled with a dotted navy tie and crisp white button-up. She finished the look with the same gunmetal Mulberry bag she carried earlier in the day.
To close out the night, she switched into an extravagant black fur coat. She upgraded her accessories accordingly, carrying a black Hermès Birkin with gold hardware — a choice that matched the drama of the look.
Both Grande and Erivo’s final looks made saying goodbye to the two-part film feel even tougher. Here’s hoping this isn’t the end of the pair’s collective fashion moments soon. For now, these latest outfits should tide fans over.
